It’s my birthday, and it’s also the 3rd installment of Lakh Lakh, my Persian street food pop-up at Porsena Extra Bar. We’ll be serving a sharbat cocktail made from tarragon and cucumber. A sharbat is a traditional Persian beverage made from flower, fruit, or herb essences, and is served in the kind of pitchers you see above.
There will also be mulberries on the menu, a ubiquitous part of Persian cuisine. They are sweet and mild. I’ll be using them to garnish the chilled yogurt soup.
Here’s tonight’s menu. Come say hi and raise a glass of sharbat with me for my birthday.
