I recently met Kimberley Hasselbrink, the talented woman behind the lusciously photographed food blog, The Year In Food.
When I saw Kimberley’s blog, along with her photography website, I was blown away. Her photos are so stunning that they make me stop in the middle of a busy day, breathe, and just take a moment to appreciate beauty. Above and below are some of my favorite photos from Kimberley’s blog.
In addition to her blog, Kimberley is a busy food photographer for cookbooks and magazines. Whether her photos are of styled recipes, fruits and vegetables growing in nature, or people who work with food, like farmers and cooks, they’re all pretty striking.
To me, an East Coast native, Kimberley is a consummate California girl. To blow off steam she goes rock climbing, she describes herself as “too mellow” to ever want to live in New York City, and she’s able to laugh and be sunny even in the face of a looming book deadline!
Kimberley is working on her first cookbook, for which she is writing the recipes, styling the food, and taking all the photos. I know it’s going to be beautiful.
The subject of the book is fresh, healthy, seasonal food, a topic that’s close to my heart. The book comes out in spring of 2014, and I eagerly await its arrival.
Now, didn’t looking at these photos just make you feel a whole lot better?
